Ruwanpura National College of Education

Ruwanpura National College has been established in 2000 as a National College of Education in Wellandura Kahawatta .Since then Ruwanpura NCOE has sent thousands of quality teachers to the national school system.At the very beging it conducted pre’service teacher training;Primary,social science etc…

Meanwhile as Information Communication Technology was introduced to the school syllabus,starting pre’service teacher education course for training IT teachers commenced.

After few years social science courses have been removed from this college course list and conducted in other National College of Education specialized to conduct those courses.Then ICT Education course was stared in 2009.

Currently this college conducts ICT pre’service teacher Education courses in English medium & Primary pre’service Teacher Education course in Sinhala medium.
